Abstract:
In this chapter, the progress in adoption of technology in engineering education in developing countries is presented. The chapter begins by providing a general outlook of integration of technology in engineering pedagogy in developing countries, the potential it offers and its success in such areas. A relationship between Bloom's taxonomy and technology in engineering teaching will also be illustrated. Lessons in online teaching that developing countries can adopt to ensure continuity in learning even during times of the pandemic, are presented using a case study of the authors, who were involved in online teaching at Dedan Kimathi University of technology (DeKUT), a university in Kenya (a developing country). The chapter concludes by providing the implications of the study to the university teaching and training with the advancement in technology and ever-increasing uncertainties in the modern world.
