dc.description.abstract This paper presents an overview of the state-of-the-art literature of the influence of machining parameters on conventional machining of materials. It is observed that depth of cut, cutting speed, cutting fluids, and feed rate are the common parameters considered during machining of hard-to-machine materials. It is also observed that optimization techniques evaluating the combined influence of these parameters have been considerably reported for different machining technologies. en_US
