Abstract

As the Council Chair of the newly appointed University Council, I feel honored to stand here before you. On behalf of the Council I would like to appreciate the government for the appointment and the honor bestowed upon us to serve this great Institution and indeed the Nation. We acknowledge that the task ahead of us requires dedication, commitment and sacrifice. On behalf of the entire Council I assure you we are up to task and we shall do everything within our mandate and with the help of the government to make Dedan Kimathi University of Technology a premier institution offering quality education, research and technology transfer for National Development.
